Discover Mr Jack Pocket, the favorite investigation game for fine strategists! As in the board version, one player embodies the inspector who tries to unmask Jack the Ripper while his opponent plays the role of the criminal on the run.
The difference lies in the game mechanics. The infernal pursuit is now played on a board of 3 squares by 3, each square representing both a street in London and one of the nine suspects. Around the board are placed the Holmes, Watson and police dog pawns.
During the game
At each turn, the first player throws 4 action pawns which will allow the investigator pawns to be moved, tiles to be reoriented or a “suspect” card to be drawn. A suspect is visible if the investigator sees him in the string of streets in front of him. Suspects hidden by buildings are invisible.
At the end of each turn, the player playing Jack must say whether the culprit character is visible or not. If he is invisible, Jack wins an hourglass.
If he meets 6 hourglasses, Jack wins the game. The Inspector wins if there is only one suspect left in play at the end of a turn.
